And in case you need any more convincing, I've enlisted the help and expertise of celebrity manicurist, Julie Kandalec, who also happens to be a press-on nail stan and is gonna give us the 411 on everything press-on nails. But for a manicure that lasts without chipping or flaking or requiring the steady hand of an art major? Yeah, press-on nails all the way. Don't get me wrong, I still love visiting the salon for a *regular* manicure, one I can remove myself at home without scraping, peeling, or soaking (seriously, who has the time?). Not only are they cheaper, easier, and faster to apply, but my fake nails have tricked every damn friend into thinking they're 'real,' too. After one particularly horrifying acrylic nail removal appointment left my nails mauled and brittle for weeks, I swore off faux nails from the salon and promptly fell in love with press-ons. Because say what you want about fake nails, but they've never hurt me quite like an acrylic manicure has. I think they're way better than any other manicure, and I'm one hundred percent prepared to die on this hill-in fact, I'll be digging my grave with a fresh set. Also, it was a nice change from the usual Vietnamese salons, as this staff was speaking Khmer & most of them were very proficient in English.I need to get something off my chest: I f*ck with press-on nails, HEAVILY. I could minus a star since other places in the area do have them but the amazing customer service definitely makes up for it. I would definitely return here for services & just hope that they do get the 3D stuff soon because it seems like they would do great work with them. She really went above & beyond to get me the unique kind of design that I wanted. Viola: Gold Studs !We came up with a cool design & she warned that the studs might not stick very long but to just come in if they fall off so that she can replace them. She said no but offered her collection of jewels, gems, etc for me to rummage thru till I found something I liked.

I asked if they do 3D designs & showed a pic that I found online. They sat me down right away & showed me the color options. I walked in for a gel manicure on a weekday, a couple hours after opening. Moral of this long story is: stay far away from this nightmare of a nail salon. no thank you or anything (yes it was stupid of me to do that, if I could go back I wouldn't have left her a penny). Been a little more polite CONSIDERING I'M PAYING YOU. That I didn't care about, I honestly don't care about paying but if you knew you were going to charge me you could have 1. The best part is she charged my for 'gel removal' when she never even put a top coat on. So, I picked out another color, she quickly and sloppily re-painted my nails. She made it very known how upset she was, she was rude and said 'it already dried'. however after putting on one layer of gel polish one one hand. I picked out a color I thought I would like. The woman that did my nails, Mellany, was quiet the whole time, no big deal.

However, after one horrible experience, I decided I would never step foot in this place again. I'm giving two stars only because this WAS my go to nail salon, and for a while I loved this place.
